Cindy is a breast cancer survivor. But just fifteen months after she went into remission, Cindy was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) and needed a stem cell transplant.
After a successful transplant, Cindy needed daily magnesium infusions as supportive therapy. While they missed their home in South Dakota, Cindy and her husband wanted to enjoy their time in southeastern Minnesota as much as possible. They longed to take outings to the Eagle Center at Wabasha, go on Amish country tours, and enjoy the simple pleasures of living life.
RHI provided customized magnesium infusions for Cindy. The magnesium is contained in self-infusing balls that Cindy connected every day for two hours. While the medication was infusing, she was able to get ready for her day's adventures or even take a walk around the local mall. Cindy was delighted to be able to travel back home for Thanksgiving to be with family and witness the birth of her grandchild - all while still receiving intravenous magnesium.
